CHICAGO — Jacobson Executive Search has placed Floyd Chadee as Chief Financial Officer for StanCorp Financial Group Incorporated of Portland, Ore., and its subsidiary, Standard Insurance Company. This announcement marks the successful completion of the nationwide search conducted by the Chicago-based executive search firm serving the insurance, healthcare and financial services industries on behalf of the financial products and services provider.
Reporting to Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer Eric E. Parsons, Chadee will help shape StanCorp Financial’s perception of business planning issues such as product development, new markets, and capital and resources allocation. He will serve on the management committee and will lead the corporate finance, actuarial, risk management, treasury and investor relations functions.

Chadee brings nearly 20 years of insurance experience to his new role at StanCorp Financial. Most recently, he served a substantial tenure as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Assurant Employee Benefits in Kansas City, Mo. Chadee holds a doctorate in operations research. He is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries and a Fellow in the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and received his bachelor’s degree with distinction from the University of Toronto.
