Gregory P. Jacobson is Chairman of the Board for The Jacobson Group, the leading U.S. executive search and staffing firm to the insurance industry. In this role, he leverages his extensive industry experience and relationships to provide strategic guidance and support the firm’s long-term direction and continued growth.
Previously, as co-Chief Executive Officer of The Jacobson Group, Greg was instrumental in shaping the firm’s culture, growth strategy and client-focused approach. Under his leadership, The Jacobson Group earned repeated recognition on Forbes’ America’s Best Executive Search Firms and Professional Recruiting Firms lists, as well as Business Insurance’s Best Places to Work in Insurance and Best Companies Group’s America’s Best Workplaces. Earlier in his career, he helped establish The Jacobson Group’s executive search practice and assisted countless insurance companies with acquiring the executives needed to drive their organizations forward.
Greg is recognized industry-wide as an investor and influencer, having regularly shared insights on labor market trends, human capital strategy and talent acquisition. He was also a driving force behind the creation of the Insurance Careers Movement, a grassroots movement inspiring young people to pursue careers in insurance, and remains an active supporter today.
He currently serves on the board for the 1970 Group, a specialty financing company supporting the insurance industry, and has previously served on the boards of the National Insurance Industry Council for the City of Hope and the Chicago Sinfonietta, the nation’s most diverse orchestra. He is also a member of YPO, an exclusive global leadership community of chief executives.
He graduated from Illinois State University in Normal, Ill., with a degree in violin performance.
