Richard L. Jacobson is Vice Chairman of the Board for The Jacobson Group, the leading provider of talent to the insurance industry. In this role, he continues to leverage his extensive experience to provide strategic oversight and guidance to support the firm’s long-term direction and continued success.
Serving as co-Chief Executive Officer for nearly two decades, Rick played a pivotal role in shaping The Jacobson Group’s strategic direction and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence that drove its success. Under his leadership, the firm earned repeated recognition on Forbes’ America’s Best Executive Search Firms and Forbes’ America’s Best Professional Recruiting Firms lists. The Jacobson Group was also consistently named to Business Insurance’s Best Places to Work in Insurance list, as well as America’s Best Workplaces by the Best Companies Group. Earlier in his career, Rick served as Vice President of Operations and President of the firm’s temporary staffing team, growing it to the largest and most recognized provider of temporary talent to the insurance industry.
Rick is also committed to service and leadership beyond the firm. He previously served as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors for The Nora Project, a non-profit dedicated to fostering empathy and inclusion among students and their peers with disabilities.
Rick received his Master of Business Administration from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business in Evanston, Ill., with concentrations in management and strategy, as well as marketing. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
